Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
We are once again set to test the laws of aerodynamics as well as the validity of a travel agency discovered by internet searches so that we may set off on another adventure.
If all goes according to plan, we will be flying to Helsinki and then, with the help of our hopefully not imaginary travel agent, will embark upon a program of travel to St. Petersburg, back to Helsinki, then on to various wondrous places in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Obviously, this cannot be an in-depth tour when we are visiting six countries in four weeks- but then, again, most of those countries aren't so big.
Our primary concern at the outset is the short connection time in Frankfurt. If we miss our flight to Helsinki we miss the ferry to St. Petersburg and there is no Plan B. Or no Plan B that gets us to Russia.
Well, we might also be a tad cautious about the Latvian based tour company that I found online. But, as Tess said, if they aren't really real, someone has invested a huge amount of time and effort constructing websites and writing hundreds of reviews and eliminating anything on the internet discoverable by searching &Baltic Travel Services& +fraud +scam +rip-off.
So- off we go!
